Wonder

Wonder
By R.J. Palacio

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Summary: August Pullman was born with severe facial deformities. He has been homeschooled by his mother due to numerous surgeries and health issues, but now he is entering school for the first time as a 5th grader. Wonder takes us through Auggie’s first year at Beecher Prep and gives the reader an inside look at his celebrations and struggles.

Review: This book is told from various points of view. You get to hear from Auggie, his sister and several of his friends. I liked the different perspectives given by each of the characters. The story has a beautiful message and I think that all who read it will look at others in a new light. I feel this book would be an excellent choice for 4th-adult readers.
