Nate the Great and the Missing Key

Nate the Great and the Missing Key
By Marjorie Weinman Sharmat

Rating: 4 Stars - This book is better than most.

Summary: This book was about Nate the Great. He was looking for his friend's key. He looked in a bank since someone left a note on the door with clues on it. The clues were that the key was in a round, safe, shiny place. The key was not in the bank.

Review: I thought the best part was when he knew where the key was. It seems weird to me that Nate the Great thinks he is a detective. Other first graders would like to read this book.

The One and Only Ivan

The One and Only Ivan
by Kathrine Applegate
5 Stars - It's hard to imagine a better book!

Summary: The book is about a gorilla named Ivan that made a promise to his friend elephant that he would take care of her niece . He likes to draw and likes to listen to little Ruby's ( baby elephant ) jokes . He has difficulties with making his promise real .

Review: I think this book anyone can understand , if you are in kindergarten you might want your parents to read this to you. This is a third to fifth reading level . If you like a book that has lots of sad and mystery to it this is the book for you !
